Child and Adolescent Therapy

Being a child or teen can be tough, and sometimes the challenges they face require extra support. I provide therapy for children and adolescents to help them navigate life’s difficulties, build coping skills, and develop resilience. For teletherapy, it’s important that children and teens are old enough to actively participate and engage in the process for the best therapeutic experience. The decision to proceed with teletherapy is made at my professional discretion, ensuring it aligns with the client’s developmental readiness.

Approaches

I tailor my approach to child and teen counseling based on each client’s unique needs, drawing from a variety of therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, Person-Centered Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Attachment Therapy, and Play Therapy. These approaches help clients develop coping skills, strengthen relationships, and build resilience, supporting lasting positive change.

Collaboration

I believe in the power of collaboration with parents, caregivers, and, when needed, school or medical professionals to provide a holistic approach to therapy. By working together, we can create a nurturing environment that supports the emotional well-being and growth of children and adolescents, ensuring progress across all areas of their lives.
